ELECTIONS FOR NEXT YEAR: We have three positions on the PTO Board that must be filled. The positions are Vice-President, Corresponding Secretary, and Treasurer. Please give this some thought and talk it over with others for ideas. The people who have been holding these positions have done a terrific job, but we need to give them a little rest. There are so many of you out there who could do a great job, please give it a try.
The forms for the new officers for the PTO went out last week. Please see it in your heart to volunteer or get a friend to volunteer for this position. This leadership group of parents makes things happen at school. Mrs. Denise Greigo has volunteered to stay on as parliamentarian so she will be there to help a new person assume her duties as Vice-President. For those of you who like to complain about how things are working out, this is your time to step up and help make things better, or stop complaining. I am waiting for forms to be returned.

FIESTA MEETING: There is a fiesta meeting this evening, Monday, May 13th at 5:30 PM.

PTO BOARD MEETING: Tuesday, May 14th, at 7:00 PM. Please be present.

SHAKEY’S PIZZA NIGHT: This will take place on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Students will receive free dress one day next week if they come. The day for the free dress will be announced. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE this Thursday evening at Shakey’s Pizza on Whittier Blvd. in Pico Rivera. Monies earned from this fundraiser will go toward the purchase of a new “Teleparent” information system for our school and eventually our parish. We will be able to text or email any immediate messages to parents, guardians, parishioners, etc. Please support this fundraiser. Thank you in advance.

EIGHTH GRADE GRADUATION PICTURES: This will take place next Monday, May 20th at 7:45 AM. Students should be here to line up by 7:30 AM. If we do it any later the sun shines too brightly in their eyes. They will have the individual pictures taken also, if you wish. The eighth grade students should receive their Graduation gown this week.

PAYMENTS: Thanks to those parents who came in last Tuesday evening. Please remember this is the last month for scrip and service hours. Bills for end of year will go home on Monday, June 3, 2013. Please take care of as much as you can until then. There are quite a few tardy fines outstanding.

JOB FAIR: Parents if you are in need of work, you may want to check out the Job and Resource Fair taking place this Wednesday, May 15th, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the hall. St. Hilary Church in cooperation with the City of Pico Rivera is hosting this job fair.

PRAYERS REQUESTED:
